We would like to take this opportunity to make you aware of the unique advantages of the dental care your children will receive in our practice.
Do you and your child share the same physician? Of course not. That is why we are here. We delight in providing care for your child’s dental needs, just as the Pediatricians take care of your child’s medical needs. Following four years of college and four years of dental school, Dr. Weinstein spent an additional two years completing a residency in Pediatric Dentistry. This extensive specialty training encompasses growth and development, child psychology, treatment of traumatic injuries, speech therapy,, sedation, care of children with special needs, and training in to those individual procedures unique to young children, teens and adolescents.
We can combine our specialty training which gives us the unique opportunity to monitor your child’s growth and development and to treat them when we recognize the problems.
Our patients and their families are provided with a warm, caring, cheerful, and relaxed environment. Each helps make your child’s visit and exciting experience. We suggest you come in a little early to play first which gives your child the opportunity to acclimate themselves to our office. Our desire is to help your child build and maintain a positive attitude towards dental care.
Prevention is a key word in our practice. Plastic sealants, which act as shields on permanent teeth, do an excellent job of sealing out decay. At each checkup we determine the appropriateness of sealants for you children, and if already placed, we check the integrity of each sealant and repair or replace it if needed. Routine flossing, brushing, and dietary instruction are also performed. Tooth strengthening fluoride is utilized and regulated to the optimum level for you children.
Should your children be in need of restorative work, we provide many options. As well as using our verbal skills in making your children feel comfortable, we may suggest using nitrous oxide, possible in office sedation ( which is regulated by the state), and hospital dentistry. Our restorative material of choice is composite or white fillings. Our object is to ensure that your child will have a healthy mouth and a lifetime of bright smiles.
Pre and post natal consultations are available for parents and children up to 12 months of age, at no cost. The prevention of dental disease, trauma, and eruption patterns, as well as non nutritive sucking and fluoride supplements are discussed.
Our staff is dedicated to providing excellence in the care of your children in an environment that is in today’s terms “user friendly”. This is truly a unique experience. If you have any further healthcare needs that we can be of assistance, please feel free to give us a call.
